Chicago White Sox Parade Pictures
The City of Chicago celebrated the victory of the Chicago White Sox with a ticker tape parade this past Friday. The streets were packed with fans and Chicagoans enjoying a once in a life time style celebration. The White Sox players rode in a motorcade of Double-Decker tour buses through the city. The route started from the home of the White Sox - Cellular field through the streets of the loop, ending in a joyous pep rally at the corner of Wacker and LaSalle.

Chicago White Sox - 2005 MLB World Series Champs!!!
The 2005 world series was just ended culminating in a victory by the Chicago White Sox! The White Sox are the 2005 World Series Champions. As the Chicago Tribune states:

-- BELIEVE IT! --

My community immediately turned on the neighborhood alarm - it usually turns on only for local fires and emergencies. The fireworks are also bursting around here. Needless to say I live in the Southwest side of the city, where the majority of the Sox fans reside. My brother in law is a die hard Cubs fan and is terribly upset of this win. As I had said before, I am a Yankee fan, but as a Chicago native I'm happy for my city. Congratulations to the Chicago White Sox, after 88 years they finally gain their long awaited victory.

Hawthorne Race Track
Chicago has a couple of really nice race tracks. I am fond of horse racing and betting on them is fun :) Hawthorne Race Track is very close to where I live - about 5-minutes from Midway airport. A couple of miles off I-55, getting there is a quick hop-skip and away. Luckily I don't go there often, otherwise I would be combating quite a gambling addiction. Hawthorne Race Track is a nice family place to get together, place some bets and just relax while the horses run by. This weekend I did just that, here are a few pictures from the track.

Montrose Harbor
Yesterday I took a drive to Montrose Harbor, the other side of the beach. I use to do this often, when gas prices were less expensive. I would love taking a walk along the piers and sit on the ledge and just absorb the wind that breezed across the lake and admire the skyline view. Here are few pictures of the skyline, boats and people I came across.
