Last night I stuck around the loop area and met with a few friends to enjoy Chicago first ever all-night cultural celebration. Looptopia featured many events throughout the streets showcasing many musical and theatrical performances, unique shopping and dining opportunities, indoor programs, outdoor exhibitions, architectural tours, artistic installations and mesmerizing light displays.

Overall I think it was a goodtime. There were many interesting things to see and met nice fun people along the way.

Chicago 'Cool Globe' Art

I spotted a cool globe this Friday in one in the Bank of America Building across the federal reserve bank. This summer 122 of these globes will exhibit in Chicago's lake front in a $3 million project called "Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet" from June to September.'

“Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” is a public art project designed to increase awareness of and promote solutions to global warming. The project unites corporations, government, non-profit organizations and the community at large to increase awareness of global warming through public art, Internet information, education and events."

Gauging from the work of art of the globe pictured here, the other 100 globes will be a great beauty to see. I was a fan of the Cow's. Other attempts were not as successful. This one I think has definite potential.

Thousands crowded the streets of Chicago again today in what seemed the largest protest for immigration to date. More than 150,000 people immigrants and citizen-immigrant supporters rallied downtown and ended in Grant Park cheering for change. ( Chicago Immigration Protest Video added to my YouTube.com)
