People Watching

What to do on a hot summer day? Just sit down and relax! This was taken outside the Music Mart (DePaul Loop Center). It seems this gentleman has the same thought as I - Just have a seat and watch the people walk by.

Chicago Board Of Trade

Walking up LaSalle Street in the evening has a nice view of the CBOT building. On this day I had a post work event I attended, after which I had to walk back to work.

I had driven my car that day and parked it in the underground garage of my building, which is fairly right next to the board of trade. I had never quite taken full notice of the vivid orange like color that is reflected off this building. During office hours everything is pretty much the stadard black, grey and beige color all around. This was a nice change to see.

Oak Street Beach

Last weekend I enjoyed the water swimming and playing at Oak Street Beach. The weather was perfect and the lake felt wonderful. If you ever are in town you must pay a visit to this beach front right off the north loop area near water tower and
the Drake hotel.

I'm not sure who were tourist or locals but I snap some shots equally as I basked in the sun. Below are a few of the pictures from that day.

Millennium Park - Photo Blogger Meetup 2005

Last week I attended a Chicago photo blogger meetup at Millenium park. I readily accepted the invitation from The Chicago Bad Azz Photography Meetup Group. I had not visited the park during the day and was eager to snap some great pictures. I was fortunate to go when there was a concert scheduled and many people filled the park. Unfortunately not many photo bloggers attended, hopefullt next time.

Taste of Chicago 2005

This year marked another successful year for the Taste of Chicago. Record crowds gathered near the lake front event for the annual food and music summer festival the City of Chicago proudly sponsors. This year I made my trip on a Saturday, normally I would go on a lunch break during the week. This year there seemed to be far more people than the year before. The weather was accommodating with mild heat and a nice breeze. The crowd however has too tight to find it pleasing. Below are a few pictures from this years Taste of Chicago Event.

Chicago South West Side 4th Of July Parade

This Friday my neighborhood was out and about in celebration for the July Fourth Weekend. My family and I sat in the near corner of Archer & Central to watch many floats and local business on parade.

Chicago Board of Trade Patio Statues

I walk by these CBOT statues almost every day since they are very close to where I work. The fnny thing is I don't know when they were added or if they were always there.
