Landmark Cinema Theater

This cinema theater is one of the few old style theaters that remain in the city. It's interior has been rehabbed but the old exterior remains lovely. It rests on a very busy and populated street - Clark Avenue. It's also one of the few places where international films can be viewed. I enjoy coming here then talking about the films at a nearby creperie, especially during Chicago Latino Film Festival.

Lakeshore Drive

I cannot wait for spring to come - I want to see green again. Lakeshore drive is always a favorite drive through spot of mine. During winter months, as when pictured here, the sight seems more gray and dirty. The salt accumulates and forms a crust over the pavement and barriers. The bear trees and frozen water from the expressway path are unequipped to brighten my mood. The smooth drive and lake side waves are a better comfort. I envision what spring will bring and look forward to that future along with mine.
